Social Selling Monday💡Episode #300
✨ 300 weeks of Social Selling Mastery: What I've learned from a relentless commitment and obsession to one topic ✨
👇 When I first started posting about Social Selling, I never imagined it would become a cornerstone of my professional journey.
What began as a six-week experiment back in 2018 evolved into a 300-week marathon of insights, connections, and growth.
Why did I keep going?
Because consistency isn’t just about showing up - it's about transformation.
Each week, I delved deeper into how socialmedia and digitalmarketing can propel business goals. And guess what? It worked.
Without these regular posts using the hashtag socialsellingmonday, I wouldn’t have published my book, Connect & Act, or had the privilege of guiding others on LinkedIn.
And this year I combine social media with marketingautomation as we need both.
What are the top lessons I've learned in these 300 weeks?
Prepare for a marathon of learning and doing. Nobody has been an excellent writer from the beginning. It needs practice. And commitment.
Define your ideal target audience. Write for one single person you have in mind. Grow as they do. Bring more into your increasing tribe.
Engage with your readers and behind. Your ideal customer profile (ICP) is most likely not in your direct connections but a second grade.
Use the same time slots to raise expectations. Many creators post at the same time, like this post every week. Much easier to get comments.
Repeat with variations what worked well. Check the performance regularly and repeat patterns or whole posts with slight changes.
Create your content calendar. If you see engagement rising well, make sure you serve audience and timing properly to keep consistent.
Announce in advance what’s coming soon. Prepare your audience for important pieces of content. You can even ask them for opinions.
Build your network with those who engage. Your regular readers engage with your material constantly. Turn them systematically into raving fans.
Convert comments into conversations. That’s what Social Selling is all about to transition comments from the public view into direct messages.
Have fun and learn! We’re not here to post as a machine. We build relationships with people through content. That can be fun!
So, what’s stopping you from embracing consistency? Share your journey in the comments - what have you gained from showing up, week after week?
Congrats on launching your new Substack and like you, I'm a big believer in consistency.
Keep it up!
